There are several ways you can help us!
- If you are a quilter, join us! We welcome new members. You don’t have to make an entire quilt by yourself. Some volunteers just make quilt tops, some quilt tops with a longarm machine, some make presentaton pillow cases and others just add binding. Or you can do it all! Members also help with quilt presentation ceremonies and things like staffing an information table at events.
- Donate fabric! We gratefully receive unused quilt shop quality 100% cotton fabric in patriotic prints and solids or prints that read red, white and blue.
- Donate money! Our volunteers finance a lot of their own projects, but with quality quilt fabric costing $10-$12 per yard, expenses add up quickly. This is an estimate of what your donation can help us pay for:
- $5 can buy thread to quilt one quilt.
- $10 can ship a quilt top to a volunteer longarm quilter.
- $20 can buy batting for one quilt.
- $ 25 can buy fabric for the quilt back.
- $ 20 can pay to ship a quilt to a military base or hospital.
- $ 50 can buy the fabric for one quilt top.
- $100 can buy fabric, batting and thread for one quilt.
Please make your check payable to “Quilts of Valor Foundation” and write “For Bradford County PA Quilts of Valor” on the memo line. Mail to Carol Ullo, 205 Long Valley Rd, Monroeton, PA 18832. Rest assured, your donation stays local!
